“The call of the open sea”. Jack London, his wife Charmian and a crew of amateurs embark aboard the Snark to live an unimaginable and intense odyssey. Leaving from San Francisco, the writer plans for a round-the-world trip and starts by heading for southern seas. After a first stop in Hawaii, the sailors visit Polynesia, Samoa et Fiji then venture into the lesser known islands of Melanesia before arriving in Australia. Each stop promises discovery. They live with the rhythm of the native people. London zealously writes and photographs to depict this uncommon voyage for the World.
