This year Albert Camus, then a young author, confirms his true gift for writing and his immense love for Algeria. Thoughts born of the Sun and the Sea, “Nuptials” describes the sensitive and sensual communion of man with the luxuriance of and calls for the wisdom of the World’s acquiescence. Through his eyes Camus brings an initiatory dimension, luminous and philosophical, to his native country, to which he remains loyal throughout his life.
