Nirone

NIRONE

A plaque, high on the right, darkened by time, signals via nirone. at number 15 we find the famous palazzo nirone, built in 1927. courageously, it is wrapped in jasmine, thyme, raspberry and graceful moss.

In his famous interview, Jorge Luis Borges talked about an artist who painted landscapes, mountains, islands, people. Over time, he realized that everything that made up these objects was part of his own portrait. Paolo Pecora decided to do the same, he sketched his own portrait of objects, figures and scents that make up his world, in his case it was not nature, but his city, in which he grew up, spent his childhood and youth ... Milan. Modern Milan, bustling and evoking many memories, cold and warm, sometimes gloomy, but so beloved.

The traveler drives to CADORNA station, heads to VIA CARDUCCI and ends up at CORSO MAGENTA. Here, happy, he listens to the echoes of his footsteps on the pavement. It goes a few hundred meters, then, attracted by the Latin name, turns right onto VIA NIRONE; he continues to walk, wondering at everything around him, throwing his head up and looking at the sky.
